In Australia, residential aged-care homes, supported-living and in-home aged-care settings look after vulnerable adults and seniors who may need help in a medical emergency. Operators are expected to keep staff who are trained in first aid and CPR on site so someone can respond immediately while help is on the way.

Residential aged-care facilities, supported-living homes and in-home aged-care services, delivered under the Aged Care Act and the Aged Care Quality Standards, which require safe and effective care.
急救要求
Aged-care employers require care staff to hold the nationally recognised unit HLTAID011 Provide First Aid (which includes CPR) as a current standalone certificate, and it must be completed within the Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) before placement. Staff should be able to act with adults and use an automated external defibrillator (AED), with the exact expectations set by the setting and the residents it serves.
A recognised, up-to-date first-aid and CPR certificate is the way to meet this expectation; it sits alongside the worker's aged-care qualification and on-the-job training, and must be renewed periodically.
