Course description

The Psychological Distress First Aid course is a training program that teaches basic skills for helping people in psychological distress. This training enables participants to recognize the signs of psychological distress, provide immediate support, and refer individuals to mental health professionals if necessary. Participants will also learn how to manage their own emotional well-being when helping others.

Success criteria

  • Completed readings

    Complete all readings included in the course.

  • Practical sessions

    Complete all mandatory practical sessions within the required minimum times.

  • Theoretical assessments

    Pass with an average of 80% or higher on each theoretical assessment.

Certification: Upon completion, PDF certificate issued, valid 3 years.
